Setanta Blackrock Sprint Triathlon
The MACE Blackrock Triathlon takes place in the seaside village of Blackrock. The event is ideal for new entrants to the sport as the 750m sea swim does not take the athletes out of their depth and the swimmers are watched over by the local Dundalk Canoe Club and local kayakers.
An 18k cycle to Castlebellingham and back follows the swim with a 6k run around the outskirts of Blackrock to finish. The race, which is very popular with local athletes, offers a fast and fun day’s racing for everyone.
